Meet Dr. David, DPT
Licensed Doctor of Physical Therapy, founder of Kinetix Physio, and a lifelong athlete who built this practice around one belief: your training decisions should be backed by data, not a guess about how you're aging.
From Division I sprint lanes to force plates
Dr. David grew up a multi-sport athlete, then went on to compete as a Division I sprinter in college — years spent under a coaching staff that treated training like a science, not a feeling. That experience shaped everything about how he practices today: objective testing, programming built around individual data, and zero tolerance for guesswork when someone's body is on the line.
After earning his Doctor of Physical Therapy degree and building a career in sports medicine and rehabilitation, he kept running into the same gap. Traditional physical therapy is clinically excellent but ends the moment insurance stops paying — often right when a client is finally ready to train hard again. Personal training, on the other hand, is motivating but usually has no clinical background to tell normal fatigue from a developing injury. Kinetix Physio exists to close that gap: ongoing, one-on-one training led by a licensed physical therapist, measured with the same VALD ForceDecks force-plate technology used by professional sports teams.
That combination — clinical judgment plus objective data — is also the foundation of the platform Dr. David has been building behind the scenes, integrating VALD testing systems and performance dashboards so every client can see their own numbers, not just hear an opinion about how they're doing.
Perform. Sustain. Preserve.
Dr. David's own goal is simple: stay capable enough, for as long as possible, to do whatever he feels like doing — whether that's a pickup basketball game or getting on a plane. That's the same standard he trains clients to. Performance and longevity aren't opposite goals; they're the same goal at different ages, and it's why Kinetix Physio's system is built around three phases instead of one generic program.
Outside the gym, that same philosophy shows up at home: he still plays recreational basketball to stay in the game he loves, and one of his favorite things in the world is international travel with his wife and two young daughters, experiencing other cultures and ways of living. A body that lets you keep saying yes to those trips — that's the whole point.
